Di dalam kesibukan hari-harian, degupan jantung-ku terhenti sebentar... ternyata amat betul berita dari ex-colleagues ku dari tempat kerja lama-ku, Keppel Logistics. Berita tentang kematian abang-angkatku, Allahyarham abang Samsuri. (Innalillahwainnailaihirojiu'n....) It was only 'like yesterday' that we had the best of time at that workplace. The late had left behind him a beautiful wife and a little boy of about 3 years of age. Also a load of rememberance that will stay pasted on the diary of my mind. And yes, I admit the sadness I felt.
Dan di dalam kesibukan pagi semalam, ku rasa ramai umat Muslim di sini telah terima berita tentang kemangkatan seorang tokoh Islam di negeri ini. (Innalillahwainnailaihirojiu'n....)

On the brighter side.....
Today being the fifth day after a new leaf of the new calender year was flipped, the 'new year' has been welcomed by zillions ge-zillions. Just like last year and the lasts, close your eyes, open up your eyes and look to the skies, the end of a year is reaching near. A year older. A year of sweat and tears. A year of fulfilment. A year of work, work, work.
To avoid the stress of a new year, I had a discussion on Saturday morning with bro Thasim. "Say, bro... how bout planning for things to do this year?", I implied. "Hahahaha.. like we are gonna have that lots of leave, holidays and moolah?", he quipped. I say, "Hey,yeah. It's just a plan. Whicheva we aren't able to accomplish, we scrap. It's Just Plan", my answer, quite direct. Then I ask, "Don't you miss Switz?". The Monsieur La-Grande de Noir made a wrinkle on his nose, grinned and replied, "Yeah, I do. I MISS that farkhing place!". Catching his interest, I chipped in further, "There you have it. A re-visitation to Lucerne is just perfect! Then, that's a plan made today, for tomorrow. End of year is best to go becoz it's cold. And flight tickets are cheaper that period". Because I know the other bros' are waiting for an opportunity to make a return to Lucerne once again. And i read a prose on the cover of a Swedish ticket jacket, 'He who hesitates (to travel) is a damned fool'. Hmmphh, rather catchy. Ever thought of visiting unfamiliar places such as Stavanger, Teneriff, Monte Negro, Dansk, Bilbao, to name a few?
Hamad has gone home on Wednesday. Thasim has laid out plans to go visit Hamad in Jeddah on August. I am looking forward to that.

May Things Work Out As Planned, Because No Matter What, It's Just A Plan!
