Assalamua'laikum.

Memang true to the quotes of the people of this nation lah, government kita is made up of "the father, the son and the holy gho(h)st".

Orang melayu memang favourite sit back and relax, tapi, itu zaman kampung basikal lampu api. Fikiran nak kena adjust sikit, kalau orang-orang melayu kena tindas dan jadi failure, at last salahkan diri sendiri, ye tak? That's why, get up stand up, terima pembaharuan!

Wassalam.

Assalamua'laikum.

INDEPENDENT (indi'pendent) : self-reliant, free, not subject to others.

It has been a national party weekend. Started last Friday, people of young and old alike were busy scheduling their holiday, be it spent overseas or right here in heartland Singapore. The nation turned 39 today. People in the age groups of that figure onwards know much of what have been put through for modern-day Singapore to achieve Merdeka on this very day 39 years ago. Singapore - a city, island and state. From quiet shorelines of olden swampy Temasek to a British-colonised country, and then a less-than-a-decade life under the Japanese invasion later renamed Syo-nanto a while, Singapore then rebuild itself to this present day, engineered by its own children - I am proud to see your steady growth. This is where we grew, grown and outgrew. Political sanctions aside, it's rather fine to live and let live for the fact that it could lessen down our risk of high-blood pressure due to mounting emotions erupting from everyday stress. And yes, every fully-awared educated Singaporeans know what life is like. Y'all should know, it's gonna be less directive for me to pen it down anyway because 99% of us have been there and done it. Talking is cheap, writing is not. Exceptionally "speakers' corner" it ought to close down. By the way, everybody, Happy National Day. Party's over folks, tomorrow's back to work. (We're always running in for a pot of gold, ain't we?)

IT LIVES ON!

The legend of "Rock Never Dies" lives on in Urbankarma's newest CD single. The CD was launched officially at Fort Canning Park yesterday. A Sunday weekend on hilly Fort Canning Park is cool. A sudden bloom of fireworks' display near the park was more cool. Being a national day's eve, activities a-bounty were organised to get people of this nation together. But these rockers they care a lot for music. The rockers of this nation are more head-on about being rocked but not to death.

You see, the real story of Rock Never Dies goes a long, long way. It actually was a satirical humor cooked up by jolly young rockers of the 80's which then the piece of joke was shared sacredly among these youngsters, most of whom know well what getting stoned is like. The story goes like this "One mat-rocker high on stuff went to a block of flats and jumped down from a low level. He landed on the groundfloor, only injured. Mat-rocker then took the lift to the top level of the apartment block and did the jumping down act again. You guys should know what impact that could bring. This stoned fella ended up on the groundfloor again, alive still. People asked, 'Ey, brader, how come?' You know what he said? Mat-rocker got up and replied, 'ROCK NEVER DIES!' " This joke is true to the core, guys.

Therefore I make my point there, Bo and his band made true correctness of the quote 'Rock Never Dies'. For the love of music and the spectacular realm surrounding it, may the hard workers of this nation's rockers receive just from the audience who's listening it. True to the core, We Rock!

Assalamua'laikum.

PRETTY UNWELL.

It's been a while since I cared to lift a finger to blog. I had been under the weather two weeks since. Guessed the fever & flu bugs are airborne once again. A timely rest away from my work desk in fact. So I guessed God actually gives chances every now and then for one to 'repair' oneself. As I am gradually getting better from those giddy coughs, some others seems to be getting fresh flu bugs.

It's even harder to get a good night's rest these days. The two most outstanding dreams are chilling my nights. In my first dream, it depicts of me walking in hand with my soul and best mate on a pavement which then I got snatched away by someone else just like that, it was in a swift that it shocked my mate to a freeze. He was so sad and bitterly cold, from where he stood I could feel an ache, as I flighted away in a crotcheted yellow dress! My second dream was no better - Little Boy Dutch was due homebound on a flight to where he's from and he hadn't a flight ticket still. However the urgency I quoted to him to get a ticket soon lest he'd miss the flight, he tells me he wants to stay here with me. I was in a white skirt suit and I told him he should get going, at last we stayed underneath the Westin Stamford, him refusing to say a good-bye. After these dreams, this morning I met Little Boy Dutch and in my heart I was saying "What in the bloody name of hell?"

It never ends - life that is. I had been a very, VERY naughty girl this year, I want to give myself an award.

And by the way, I've just heard Urbankarma's newest Single 'Rock Never Dies' - yeah sure rock never dies - for the sake of the young and restless. Best regards to all my brothers and sisters in rock!
