Assalamua'laikum.

KA MATE, KA MATE, KA ORA, KA ORA!

April 16th & 17th will mark the big-day event for the rugby circle in Singapore. It is the Singapore Sevens once again, one more homecoming to our homegrounds again since last year. Thanks to StandChart's meticulous organization, the appreciative rugby fans in Singapore and the world over will definitely dig in to this one.

My silent anticipation has been answered. Finally my big sis embraced the idea of watching this rough games tomorrow at the National Stadium. It's due to our ravishing passion for this sport that we just have to allocate a whole Saturday to participate in the serious fun & revelrie of the international teams' matches. Her favourite team which happens to be New Zealand's All Blacks shall make a match appearance with my favourite, Australian Wallabies! Aye, and not forgettin' ye good ol' England team, eh lads. Among the other teams - Scotland, France, Fiji, HongKong, Kenya, Thailand, Samoa, Argentina, Canada, China, Taipei, South Africa & Singapore (REDS) are all to be featured in the two day event's match scheds. It's simply world class.

I could not contain my excitement anymore and my attire will be red, in support of our home team. Once again, this favourite sport being attended by many babes, chicks and ladies - we aren't there to be seen, in other fact we are in the games for it's peaking pleasure; the screams & shrieks - oh pure orgasmic heaven!

Hope it does not rain!!!!!!
Wassalam.

Assalamua'laikum.

SOLDIER OF FORTUNE

He'd listen to this over and over again. To think of it, we knew too much of the reason. He'd wait and wait and wait...but why wait? We knew too much of the reason. Smile for us, the days are too dear to be wasting it around.

Soldier Of Fortune / Deep Purple / Album: Stormbringer, 1974

I have often told you stories
About the way
I lived the life of a drifter
Waiting for the day
When I'd take your hand
And sing you songs
Then maybe you would say
Come lay with me love me
And I would surely stay
But I feel I'm growing older
And the songs that I have sung
Echo in the distance
Like the soundOf a windmill goin' 'round
I guess I'll always be
A soldier of fortune

Many times I've been a traveller
I looked for something new
In days of old
When nights were cold
I wandered without you
But those days I thought my eyes
Had seen you standing near
Though blindness is confusing
It shows that you're not here

Now I feel I'm growing older
And the songs that I have sung
Echo in the distance
Like the soundOf a windmill goin' 'round
I guess I'll always be
A soldier of fortune
Yes, I can hear the sound
Of a windmill goin' 'round
I guess I'll always be
A soldier of fortune

He fought hard like I've fought hard many times too. We squirm at our pain and softens the edges with comforting words to each other. This is what we needed. Togetherness. In sickness & in health, till whenever it takes. Because at times like these, God could only afford to give salvation of this sort, this time for me to open my eyes and stretch my mind. My neck hurts right now. The infected vein is always attacking my delicate nerves. I know how torturing it could be, getting bruised, swelled and pressurized by pain. He'd sometimes screamed in silence. Because pain is a nag once you let it indulge. For when it starts to indulge, that's when you see yourself sinking into the pit. I'd pull away from the pit and hold out my hand to pull him up too. Patience is what we could only savour.

Wassalam.
